Because I learn best methodically, I also take that approach when teaching others. This is why I’ve tried to step back into my old shoes when I didn’t know, what I didn’t know. By this I mean, I thought I couldn’t lose weight because I wasn’t disciplined enough. The main problem is we’ve been told to believe that people who are overweight is because they have a “lack of willpower and discipline”. But this is not true, especially for emotional eaters. And in actual fact, I’ve now come to realise how much more there is to this problem.
Which is why I know that when you look at the essay titles, you may gloss over them because you do not think they apply to you — but they 100 per cent apply to you. For us, weight loss is not just about diet plans and fitness routines. It’s a far more holistic approach that’s required to overcome emotional eating.
